Frequently Asked Questions

Can I cut my own tree?
Yes! We are a cut-your-own tree farm, but we can help cut and carry if needed.

Can I come before Thanksgiving to tag a tree?
No, we will not be open until December 3. Any 'early' tags will be removed from the tree.

Do you have saws?
Yes, we have haand saws to cut the trees as well as twine to tie your tree to your car.

What species and size trees do you have?
We have a rotating selection of species and height varies from year to year. We always have a couple varieties of firs and spruce trees. The majority of our trees are between 5' and 7' but there are a few that are taller and you are welcome to take a shorter tree as well.

How long does it take for a tree to grow to Christmas Tree size?
It takes about 10 years for our trees to get to the 7' range, give or take, depending on the species and the weather.

Is photography allowed at the Bunker Tree Farm?
We always welcome customers to take photos of their experience cutting a Christmas tree with their friends and family! We are also happy to assist in taking a photo of your entire group with the tree you have selected during tree farm hours (weekends 9 am -     4 pm). However, due to parking constraints and as a courtesy to those customers shopping for a tree, we currently do not allow photography or photoshoots by non-customers during our Christmas Tree selling season.

We do limited availability for photography sessions outside of the selling season by appointment only. Please send us an email and we will try to accommodate your request.

Do you 'shake' or bale the trees?
We do not have a shaker or a baler to provide these services, but we do supply heavy twine for tying your tree onto your car.
